Tater Tidbit: Neumiller Farms is a generational family farm that has proudly been growing high-quality potatoes for over 75 years.
Sustainable Spud: Neumiller has participated in our corporate sustainable agriculture program and uses several regenerative practices, including:
🌱 Planting Cover Crops: adds protective cover, carbon-rich matter, and plant diversity that build soil health.
🐝 Maintaining Pollinator Habitats: supports bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
💧 Using Soil Moisture Sensors: helps farmers to steward their use of irrigation water.
🌷Practicing edge-of-field management: prevents field runoff to conserve soil and water.
In the past few years, Neumiller has used our grower grant fund to help install solar panel-powered irrigation and to purchase tillage equipment that reduces soil disturbance.
